JOBS Available:
Direct Support Provider (DSP)
The Direct Support Provider is responsible for providing support services to developmentally or intellectually disabled individuals in a community setting.
Responsibilities and Duties
-
Provide support to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities which permit them to live independently in a community setting.

Plan and schedule activities in the community while supporting individuals with communication and comprehension.

Assist and support individuals to achieve their goals of independence, housing options, social activities, advocacy, and medical providers.

Accurately record hours worked, incidents, progress notes, and mileage, electronically or written document.

Obtain and maintain all required certifications and training.

Display open communication and cooperative work behavior.
-
Ensure individuals exercise their rights and are treated with dignity and respect.
Qualifications
-
Must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license, reliable car to drive and proof of insurance.

Self-motivated and self-directed.

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.

Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills including smart phone technology.

Competent in creating and editing word documents.

Access to a scanner and the ability to turn a scanned document into a PDF file.
-
Ability to satisfy physical requirements for an individual which might include light lifting, bending, walking and physical support.
- Pass a thorough background check and obtain First Aid & CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Previous experience as a Direct Support Provider, Social Services, or Direct patient care giving desirable.
